At Apex Medical Lasers, we fix a lot of Syneron laser equipment. When it comes to the Syneron eMax, there are certain error messages that we see on a more frequent basis. Following are the five (5) most common inquiries we receive regarding Syneron eMax fault codes.
Laser OverCurrent: This error indicates a possible hardware malfunction that affects the laser diodes. Inevitably heavy usage will eventually cause diodes to become burnt or used up. It is recommend that sometime you can clear this error simply by restarting the system and letting the self-test software run its course. If this does not resolve the error and you get continued error messages, for laser overcurrent, please contact us immediately, so we can help troubleshoot the issue. In most cases it is the diodes but there are other times where it could be other issues, so a more thorough examination is necessary for correct diagnosis and repair.
RF Card Fault: This is another indication of hardware malfunctioning, specifically with the radiofrequency component of your Syneron eMax. Power down the unit, let it run the self-test. If it persists, again, our technicians can help troubleshoot the issue.
Bad Coupler: From time to time, we get calls on this type of eMax error code, which sounds more alarming than it is. They system will not allow treatment to proceed if it does not detect enough coupling gel applied correctly to the treatment area. Apply more and they system should resume treatment.
Leakage Fault: This error code has absolutely nothing to do with water or coolant leaking. This is an electrical malfunction. Again restart your equipment and let it run through self-diagnosis. If you still get the error message on your Syneron eMax, please give us a call. There may be a circuit breaker not working correctly which could lead to electric shock if not fixed.
